If you weren’t hyped enough already for the coming of DOOM in December’s Avengers: Doomsday, here’s your chance to watch another nearly 3 hour movie that you saw 7 years ago (with bonus footage).
Marvel has promised that the additional footage added to the re-release of the last major MCU phase’s epic finale will lead you into what’s to come in Doomsday and I have a feeling that none of us are truly ready for what’s to come.
What I find astonishing is the use of fan-filmed footage from the opening night within this trailer, a demonstrative no-no in any movie theater, especially any one that I’m in. But I have to admit I still get goosebumps when I hear the crowd roaring and even screaming as those portals open up when EVERYONE steps up against Thanos… and the Avengers finally… assemble.
For those of you who don’t go to those opening night uber fan assemblies like this, this level of Super Bowl crowd engagement, as if we were all standing on the field with them, is what makes those moments truly unlike anything else and it’s an experience you can’t truly have watching it anywhere except in movie theaters with the people who are passionate about the stories, the characters, and the universe that encompasses them all, including the fans, building to one huge moment that truly makes theaters around the world explode with cheers.
