It’s been a few years since we’ve seen Vision. Seriously. We last saw him flying off, white as a ghost, into the sky at the end of Marvel’s very first Disney+ miniseries, WandaVision.
Played by Paul Bettany, Vision is literally on a quest to figure out who he is and possibly even WHY he is. But certain things still nag at him, foremost of which is his “father”, Ultron, played with maniacal glee by James Spader, in the flesh.
But along with coming to grips with his past, he’s discovered something else – One of his sons is alive. And he might just be real. Does he seek him out or does he continue to live a quiet, solitary life? And what’s Ultron’s stake in all of this? He was destroyed by the Avengers in the Age of Ultron film. Is he more than just legacy code rattling around in Vision’s synthezoid mind or is he much, much more?
VisionQuest brings to close a trilogy of series that started with WandaVision and continued in Agatha All Along on Disney+. Will this bring the saga to a close or become the launching point for something much more? (I’m betting on the latter, with or without the Vision and Scarlet Witch.)
VisionQuest premieres with 2 episodes on October 10th only on Disney+.
